Winners and Losers Signed Limited Editions

Winners and Losers was commissioned by Stephen A. Wynn, Las Vegas hotel magnate, in 1977. This is the second painting in Friberg’s Saloon series and is considered one of the most fascinating he created of the American west. The scene of an old-time Western saloon is packed with magnificent detail – from the opulence of the carved mahogany, the mellow golden light of the beautiful oil lamps hanging from the ceiling, and the wallpaper design to the framed pictures, velvet-filigreed piano and saloon furniture. Friberg observed and studied these items in person and via glass negative files at the Nevada Historical Society, ensuring their absolute authenticity.
