When Jesus and his disciples were traveling the Sea of Galilee, a windstorm suddenly arose, and their boat began to fill with water. Jesus slept soundly through the storm, but the disciples began to panic and woke up the resting Savior. Mark 4:39 says, “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” This painting is a reminder that when we are afraid of the storms of life, Jesus Christ is not. After all, even the wind and the sea obey Him.
